Reema Rao-Patel is a Konkani American writer from Chicago. Her work appears or is forthcoming in The Los Angeles Review, Witness, The Lumiere Review, Flash Frog, and Moot Point Magazine, amongst others. She is a 2024 Best of the Net nominee and longlister for both The Masters Review 2023 Anthology Prize and The Masters Review 2022 Summer Short Story Award. Her writing has received support from the Kenyon Review, American Short Fiction, and the Key West Literary Seminar. She is a fiction reader for Split Lip Magazine and is currently working on her first short story collection, which explores shades of shame in the Indian diasporic womanhood experience.
